How Satellite Technology works

Accessing the Internet is no longer a luxury. Whether it's for professional or personal requirements, daily life increasingly demands that you have access to the Internet. More importantly, as our dependency on the Internet grows, so does the requirement that that access is high speed broadband access.

And for millions this is a reality.

But not every individual, home or business can get broadband access. Continued technological and geographical restraints mean that millions cannot get the broadband Internet access that they want. City or countryside, at home or at work, they are restricted in what they can do and how quickly they can do it. Servicesat however, can provide Broadband services almost anywhere and bridge the digital divide.

Servicesat provides high-speed satellite Internet solutions throughout most of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and Australaisa.

As long as you have a clear view of the sky where our satellites are located, and local legal and regulatory approval is available and granted, Servicesat uses two-way satellite technology to give you a super-fast, always-on broadband by satellite Internet connection-so you can enjoy the Internet the way it was meant to be.

How does it work?

Servicesat utilizes two-way satellite technology to link your home or your business to the Internet. This essentially delivers you a wireless Internet connection as you do not need to use ISDN, cable or xDSL to connect to the Internet.

A certified Servicesat installer will connect your computer(s) to a vsat satellite modem, and link it to a satellite dish (antenna) that's typically mounted on the roof of your building. The satellite dish sends and receives information (i.e., email, Web pages, files) over the Internet and delivers it your computer almost instantly.
